Rio Tinto Yarwun 10 Year Anniversary
One ceremony, one site tour and a celebration a decade in the making
At a Glance:
JC Events planned, coordinated and managed the Rio Tinto Yarwun 10 Year Anniversary, a formal onsite lunch held on 19 June 2015 to mark a decade since the Yarwun refinery began operating. Approximately 80 to 100 guests attended, including key government representatives, corporate representatives, the Rio Tinto Yarwun management team and employees celebrating ten years’ service.
The program combined formal ceremony with genuine celebration. Official speeches, the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, a refinery site tour and a cocktail-style lunch under a large onsite marquee gave Rio Tinto the platform to acknowledge the people behind the refinery’s success and share its vision for the next ten years.

A ten-year milestone like this carries real weight for the people who built it. The employees marking a decade of service, and the government and corporate partners who backed the refinery’s growth, all needed an occasion that matched the achievement.
